Department of Trauma, Acute Care, and General Surgery

Nir Joseph Hus, MD, PhD
Trauma, Surgical Critical Care, Acute Care Surgery & General Surgery

Dr. Hus received his medical degree from the University of Miami School of Medicine in Miami, Florida. In addition, he received his PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Miami. Dr. Hus completed his internship and residency in general surgery at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami, Florida. He furthered his studies in trauma and surgery critical care at the Ryder Trauma Center located at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Florida.

Valerie Pruitt, MD
Trauma, Acute Care, & General Surgery

Dr. Valerie Pruitt received her medical degree from the University of Louisville in Louisville, Kentucky. She completed her residency training in general surgery at Keesler Medical Center in Biloxi, Mississippi and finished a two year fellowship with focus in trauma/surgical critical care at the University of Texas Healthscience Center. Dr. Pruitt served for 13 years in the United States Air Force and is currently an active member of the United States Air Force Reserve.

Ludovic Lasquety, MD
Dr. Lasquety earned his medical degree from the University of South Alabama and completed his residency training at the Alton Ochsner Foundation Hospital in Jefferson County, Louisiana.

William Shanahan, MD
Dr. Shanahan received his medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, PA. He received his residency training from the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda and completed his fellowship training at the Louisiana State University

Kurt Stockamp, MD
Dr. Stockamp received his medical degree and completed his residency training at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in Nashville, TN.
